Today, Saint Monica School spent much of the day steeped in the history and origins of our Catholic faith. This Holy Thursday, students in Kindergarten and 1st grade spent their morning learning about Holy Thursday through a re-enactment Jesus’ last supper. They took part in a seder meal, where Jesus offered us his body and blood on the night before he was to die.
In the late morning, the entire student body gathered in the church. Students re-enacted the scene of Jesus in the Upper Room on Holy Thursday, including preparation of the Passover Feast, the initiation of the Holy Eucharist, Jesus washing the feet of the Apostles, and the beginning of the betrayal of Jesus.
We wish everyone a blessed Easter.
