Philosophy

Athletic participation is an educational activity that contributes to the physical, personal, social, and spiritual growth of the student-athlete. The Athletic Department is an integral part of the entire school and parish community supporting its philosophy and participating in achieving its goals.

Our Mission

  1. To provide an athletic program where the student-athletes involved give witness to the program's philosophy by learning to respect the rules, the opponents, the officials, the coaches, and themselves.
  2. To provide an experience that transforms playground fun to love of the game, while ensuring that the largest number of participants can play at the levels they are most comfortable.
  3. To help the student-athlete make that vital connection between individual effort and team success.

Current Leagues

We participate primarily in CYO (Catholic Youth Organization, which is now under Catholic Charities). This organization offers girls' volleyball and basketball, and boys' soccer and basketball. CYO also sponsors a cross-country meet in the fall and a track meet in late spring. We also participate in the City College Outdoor-Indoor soccer league for girls in the winter. In spring we offer boys' baseball through the San Francisco Parish and Schools Baseball League.
